This is a very rare opportunity to obtain this exquisite piece of very fine jewellery in 18 carat gold, at a fraction of its real value. The history of the piece, as given to me by the previous owner is that it was given to her by a very wealthy businessman, who had all his rings made by an Italian ring maker, and is a unique creation, and not a mass produced item bought in a shop. This is born out by the absence of hall-marks on the ring, as some craftsman-makers consider it a desecration of their work, and will not hall-mark their creations. The valuation for insurance is £ but that only treats it as if it were a mass produced ring, and does not take into account its unique history. The large emerald is 2.3 carats, nestling against two half carat diamonds, with a further six, smaller diamonds in the outer band, and a further 46 diamonds around the sides.
