RARE No 5 IMPROVED FOLDING KODAK STEREO,Complete Outfit All

An extremely rare Camera outfit, the Kodak No 5 'Improved' Satchel styled camera of complete with Stereo lenses and lens board, also the alternative large Eastman Kodak 1/2 plate lens No -, shutter by Bausch & Lomb Opt Co. Pat, . CONDITION;- Cosmetically everything is in very good condition, considering the camera is about 120 years old. The red brown leather bellows are good and free from pin holes,leather covering is all original and good with some edge scuffing on the base. The French polish is original as is all the brass lacquer. Interior is good and all labels are present and clear. Stereo optics are clean and clear, Bausch & Lomb shutter mechanism works but speeds are sluggish probably due to lack of use. Focal length appears to be about 6-7 inches. Number on brass lens panel,- 290. The large Eastman Kodak Co lens is in beautiful exterior condition and good clear optics but unfortunately the shutter and diaphragm do not operate as they should. This really needs the attention of someone with experience of such mechanisms. The original roll film box is good with all mechanism working and this is an item that is so often missing from this range of cameras. The leather septum is a replacement for the missing original one. and the focal screen frame is a professional re- make of the original. The 2 Dark Slides are original to the camera with some slight damage to one panel
