Rare and Common Wildflowers (Photographs) Size 8 x 12ins
The price quoted is for the two - Rare Ragged - Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi) This the only common Lychnis, is a familiar wildflower with a charmingley descriptive common name. The 5 rose-red petals are deeply cut into 4 thin lobes, giving the flower a 'ragged' look. The stems are slender and reddish bearing several flowers. The simple, narrow leaves are arranged in opposite pairs on the tem. Like many marsh plants, Ragged-Robin is much scarcer than in earlier times. Then there is the Red Campion (Silene dioica) The red campion is one of our best known wildflowers. In May and June it makes a lovely picture in hedgebanks and wood margins. The red petals are deeply 2 lobed and leaves are quite broad. Both come with The Fay-nights Serial No: which are produced by author from the original photos - size 8 x 12ins already for a frame. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further information. Kind regards, Miggy J.
