Used only 4 times for short weekend overnight and 2 night stays - have had a good few family tents over the years and this has got to be No.1 of all time, however selling due to change to lifestyle due to illness. We also, in addition to this, purchased luxury 12" depth blow up double beds and these fitted neatly into each bedroom compartment. You can purchase the Quechua Cube to add on see image 8, which you can use to add additional space for an extended family trip, this also pops up like the Seconds Base Tent. The wording Seconds, does in no way indicate it was second hand when purchased originally, but more the reference to timing of setting up and taking down. Tent is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, fraying or marks, all zips in full working order and tent is clean inside and out. Weight and Dimensions: Spacious 5 m living area, with a max height of 1.85m. 14kg. Bedroom space: 2 x 2+1 adult/child bedrooms. comfortable-sized at 2.1m x 1.4m. Storage space: With its 5m, you can easily seat 4 to 6 people around the table. the entrance door, protected by a large overhang, increases the size of the living area. The large back window, protected by an overhang can be left open even in rainy weather. the basin-shaped groundsheet in the living area prevents rainwater runoff into the tent. Pitching/folding: Innovation: the groundsheet can be positioned and secured before the tent is unfolded. this facilitates the right positioning of the tent and its accurate set up. Then you can unfold and set it up in under 2 minutes! (folds down in less than 5 minutes when you have the knack). Access: A large door, which can be easily stored in an adjacent pocket for more ease of use, and the advantage of a living area that opens up to the outside in fine weather. Ventilation: 1 ventilation flap under each of the 2 overhangs, 2 mosquito-netted windows that can be closed + bedroom windows. Everything is designed to maximise ventilation, and reduce natural condensation. Waterproofing: Like all quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (whole tent in a shower of 200 litres/hr/m2!) and in field tests (PU coated polyester flysheet, 120g/m polyethylene groundsheet, thermobonded sealed seams). A breathable polyester bedroom under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet. Cover: Disc that is 85cm in diameter and 15cm thick. no-zip flap, which is more practical and 2 straps for occasional carrying. Poles: Solid fibreglass; highly break resistant. Pegs: Galvanised steel, 6mm in diameter, for excellent twist-resistance.
