Quality Muscovy Hatching Eggs

We have some Muscovy Duck hatching eggs available from our breeding group of Muscovies. We keep a wide variety of colours so you should get some good variation. We have lavender and white, black and white, cream, and chocolate who all have quality plumage. From these ducks we have had all these colours hatch. Our ducks have also proven to be brilliant mothers and good layers with brilliant foraging ability. They are all unrelated and healthy. They roam around our fields and garden and enjoy swimming in the ponds. We have had excellent success hatching from them before, getting 12 out of 13 and 13 out of 13, but cannot guarantee fertility after they have been through the post. We will not post these eggs in polyester boxes as we have found this to be very detrimental to the hatching rates and that much better success is reached if the eggs are wrapped in tissue, placed in an ordinary egg box and then posted in an additional box. When using this method we have gained a much higher hatching rate after being in the post, whereas with polyester boxes it is common for most eggs to fail. All eggs are not washed, I only use the cleanest ones, they are dated and turned twice a day and kept at the correct temperature etc. I have a lavender Drake running with both lavender & white and black & white girls. I had over 50 duckling hatch last year just from this group! Muscovy's are a lovely duck to breed and keep, they are friendly and quiet (they don't quack!). I have for sale Cream Legbar hatching eggs from my group of unrelated, show quality stock. They lay a good size pale blue egg. Legbars are an autosexing breed meaning the chicks can be sexed as soon as the hatch, as females and males are different colours. Females are mostly brown with distinct cream stripes on their backs and male chicks are grey/silver with a yellow spot on their heads. All my birds are fed top quality Versele Laga feed and are wormed twice a year. Price is £1.50 per eggs, with a minimum of 6 to be purchased.
