Click here to view this lot Oak sculpture group: neo-Gothic: - 2nd half of 19th century Belgium.Part of confessional.This nicely carved sculpture group reveals the hand of a master, the fabric expression of the robes and the facial expression of the characters is a sign of high quality craftsmanship. In the background we see the clear characteristics of neo-Gothic architecture: the buttresses, the stone window harnesses and, of course, the finials. Very interesting is the way in which the perspective is applied.The size of this sculpture group (consisting of 2 halves) is 71 cm wide x 53 cm high and 15 cm deep.
