Scientists do not know why this is done fully, but recent research has concluded that this movement may aid in creating waterflow around the ong>coralong>, bringing oxygen to the ong>coralong>. Easy to propagate. This ong>coralong> measures approximately 10cm tall when at full stretch and open. It is attached to a small piece of rock. It is guaranteed to be free from brittle stars, bristle worms, critters, any snails including pyramid snail, acropora eating flatworms (as I don't have acropra and these worms need this ong>coralong> to survive) and even marine ich, which took some careful planning. All my fish are quarantined in hyposalinity for 10 weeks to eradicate marine ich and then given a bath using safety stop. All ong>coralong>s were treated used iodine dip, ong>coralong> rx and ong>coralong> pro. The only critters you may have are amphipods and copepods which I deliberately added as a natural source of zooplankton food, and as a detritus eater. And the only snail is spirorbid snails which are tiny harmless stationary filter feeders, usually on the glass as white spiral shelled dots. Having these is a sign of a healthy tank. There are two larger heads of colonies, each with between 8 to 12 heads. One of the photos of them shows the polyps withdrawn so you can see the individual heads on the live rock. I would prefer ong>coralong> swaps, but will sell them too. I also have a youtube link so you can see the pumping action. I'll consider most common reef safe marine inverts and fish for swaps, such as mushroom ong>coralong>s, green star polyps, hard ong>coralong> ong>fragong>s, shrimps etc. Not looking for Kenya tree ong>coralong>s. These guys like good alkalinity, pH levels and calcium levels, then they pulse regularly and strongly. Depending on my various water parameters, I'll add Calcium hydroxide (kalkwasser), Sodium Bicarbonate or others to increase the pH and alkalinity levels, then they pulse strongly.
