Weber HA-W Guitar Amp Attenuator / Headphone Tap
HA-W Headphone Tap for Guitar Amps Allows you to play your guitar through your guitar amp with headphones rather than the amp's speaker. Can also be used as an attenuator with the amp's speaker attached to crank your amp, but reduce the volume coming through the speaker. For use with up to 50w amplifiers Bought Direct from Ted Weber in the USA on 9th May They are made to order and before it was delivered I bought an amp with a headphone-out so it's no longer needed. Unused, unmarked etc. These are unavailable in the Europe, hence my buying from the USA. Cost almost £150 with the shipping and import duties. Here's what the Weber site says: "This device is a 50 watt dummy load with a headphone output jack. The headphone jack is a stereo jack wired for mono operation. The output level to the headphones is continuously adjustable. A variable line out is also provided. The load switch switches between the normal speaker for the amplifier and the internal dummy load, which is nominally 8 ohms. Most amplifiers will tolerate a 2 to 1 impedance mismatch. The headphone output jack and its volume control are always active regardless of the position of the load switch. This item is hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to its construction. We build them one at a time, on a table - not hundreds at a time on an assembly line. This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality product." Read More
