A co-operative team created by local actors & creatives, seeking to make our own opportunities, in , the South Devon Players Theatre & Film Company has now grown into a hard working, internationally awardwinning team specialising in historical action dramas, for the stage, screen and radio. We are based in Brixham, Devon, but tour around the Southwest with our theatre shows (we hope to expand soon), & our film work is shown globally. We also have our own in-house casting agency supplying skilled local actors for local film, TV, radio and events. We have a number of castings coming up over the winter for films, theatre and radio, and would love to hear from new people in the area who would like to join us as actors or behind the scenes lovelies. All our work is on an equal profit share, among the team. So far we always come out in the green, whether it is a large or small amount. Please note that this is suitable for people wanting to create careers in acting, We cannot accommodate people looking for a drop-in social club, or amdram, as we require an extremely high standard of rehearsal (we rehearse twice a week), training, and that we have a strict code of conduct, centering on socially acceptable behaviour, and high standards of rehearsal attendance.
