The designer of this boat Lock Crowther of Sydney, Australia, is considered by many to be the world,s leading designer of multihull yachts – he is renowned for the outstanding safety and wind-performance of his designs, of which the International 23 is no exception. In all conditions this yacht will perform outstandingly. Speeds up to knots on a reach are common. She tacks like a dinghy through the wind. On the safety aspect there is almost no heeling with this yacht. The International 23 can be moored, penned or trailered: her outstanding speed allows planning weekend cruises of considerable range: your friends and family will appreciate the inherent stability with no heeling or rolling; her shallow draft (18”) means easy beaching and safe cruising in previously inaccessible waters; capable of high speed under auxiliary power with the addition of a small, outboard motor; unique telescoping crossbeams provide true convenience; the simple rig allows sails to be easily managed by one person; and with the addition of a spinnaker and one or two on a trapeze this could lead to exhilarating sailing and incredible performance if so required. Prelude 19 swinging keel yacht in GRP with original gelcoat on the hull, deck and coach roof. Manufactured by Rydgeway Marine circa , the same builders of the Pandora yacht range with many of its attributes. Berths for four in an open plan accommodation and a generous sized cockpit that seats four adults with locker space under the seats. All areas of the deck have non-slip mouldings in the gelcoat for grip in the wet. Swinging pendulum keel that draws 1.5ft when wound up and 4.5ft when lowered putting the ballast far into the water where you need it to provide stability. It is controlled from the helm position.The keel is an improvement on the mk1 version which moved up/down from a keel box. With the mk2 version keel, if an underwater obstruction is hit or you round aground, the keel raises up over it and drops down again instead of possibly becoming dislodged. It also removes the need for an obtrusive keelbox in the cabin. Sails consist of a main and jibsail. Powered by a Seagull outboard engine. Sits on a single axle launching trailer.
