Potential Pony Club Pony For Sale in Colchester

For Sale 14.1hh (could possibly be 14.2hh, I haven't put a stick on him) Gelding 5 year old Passported and up to date with vacs Connie X but un recorded breeding Sunny was broken the beginning of last year, used mainly for hacking and keeping youngsters company as he never grew big enough for us. He was the easiest pony to break and never put a foot wrong, has never bucked or reared under saddle, extremely safe to go for a good canter around the stubble alone or in company. Unfortunately we have no use or time for him anymore, as we are up to our knees in mud and have no grass left. We turned him out in October last year so please note he is in his winter woollies and does need a good tidy up, also he hasn't been ridden at all through the winter hence why I'm selling him so cheaply as we have no facilities whatsoever. **FOR SALE** - HONEST AD BARNEY • years old • Potential BS/PC pony Barney is a 13.2 tri coloured gelding. I bought Barney to produce and sell on to someone younger however due to his age he is still a bit green and needs a capable rider to continue to further his education. He is an absolute dream to ride (never bolted, reared or bucked), fab jumper and could definitely affiliate. Has established flying changes on both reins, leg yielding and transitions. He is very quick against the clock and came 5th out of 25 at his first show (with a time of 25 seconds in the jump off). Polite in the stable and is good to tack up. Can be turned out with mares or geldings but does prefer to live in. However… He does need some work on the ground. We believe he’s had some bad experience in the past which makes him a bit nervous on the ground. This just means that you can’t do any quick, sudden movements around him as he will startle however I have been working with him everyday for the past month and have already seen massive improvements. He does also need to be sedated to be shod (is currently barefoot) – again, due to bad experiences. Up to date with worming, vaccinations and shoeing. Barney will make a fabulous showjumper for someone but he does need a 5* knowledgeable home where he can be brought on to his full potential. I am not in any rush to sell him. I have come to the hard decision to sell my sons pony as he is simply wasted with us. I bought him as a 3yr old in the hope he would be suitable for my son but he is simply too good for him and deserves a lot more from life. My son has ridden him on the roads and in the arena on the lead rein and the pony has never put a foot wrong even though my son is a total beginner. I've also had a 7yr old girl hack him out down the road in company off the lead rein with no problems what so ever he really is a sweetheart.
