We offer a testing service for those that wish to have the reassurance of understanding their water chemistry without the capital outlay on extensive professional equipment. You are sent a pack including a 250ml water bottle, instructions and a prepaid jiffy bag for your water sample. The water sample then needs to be returned to us via the jiffy bag. The tests include pH, GH, KH, phosphate, total ammonia/ammonium, nitrite and nitrate. These are performed in duplicate to ensure quality- where there is a disparity a third test is carried out thus ensuring accuracy and precision.   We will provide advice based on the results. If you supply your own test results we will comment on the differences and if you provide pond temperature at the time of taking the sample we will calculate toxic NH3 (based on ammonia, pH and temperature). For regular users of this service we will also maintain a spreadsheet with graphs to show results over time. It is recommended that a mature pond with healthy fish should be tested monthly. We will provide advice based on the results.
