SOPHIE. 16.1hh 8years Thoroughbred mare. Sophie has been out of work for a while and has recently been brought back into work by myself. Sophie is not suitable for a novice or confident novice as she can be quirky when being ridden and has bags of energy. Sophie has raced in the past and would be eligible for ROR classes. Has outstanding ground and stable manners. Never kicks or bites. Stands to be groomed all day long and picks all 4 feet up. FOR SALE Bay Mare 122cm Top Class Lead Rein Pony Age 6 Years

Sadly for sale due to new baby and lack of interest, top class lead rein show pony, this pony has only been lightly shown by me due to lack of time and interest from my children, I now have a new baby on the way and she is completely going to waste. With her previous owners she was shown to a high standard and in her 1st season in was 4th at Royal Windsor Show and also qualified for the RIHS. Totally home produced she is easy to do in every way and has safely carried both my 7year old (now out grown) and my 5 year old into busy showing rings for the last 2 years with no calmers, ear plugs and hardly any working in. This year we did two shows with her where she won and was placed 3rd. She will happily hack out on the roads and will pop a jump and my 5 year old can bring her in from the field and picks her feet out. Blagdon Mare for sale 14.1 hh 8 years old

Stunning Blagdon Cob Mare History We bought Mary from a dealer for my 60-something year old mum to hack. She had a high worm burden and wasn't up to date with vaccinations, teeth etc. We have now rectified this. She is passported at 14.1hh and 8 years old but she is more like 13.3hh, very wide and chunky. Good bits Mary is great out hacking she will go first or last, rides out in a group or on her own. She is never silly in open spaces even when other horses are cantering or galloping in front of her, she is a forward ride and not a plod. She is green in the school which we have been working on, she is very willing to learn, she pops a small jump and lunges and is just getting the hang of voice commands. She has just started showing, ridden and in hand which she really enjoys. She can be left for weeks not ridden then get on and ride and she is fine. She is great for the farrier and dentist and enjoys a bath. She is very funny and makes us all laugh daily, loves to pull funny faces, she is cheeky and has a fantastic character. She is a stunning looking Mare with a beautiful mane and tail, we have clipped her legs but when grown she has lovely feathers also. Bad bits Mary can be very strong, this is mostly on the ground. If she decides that she wants to go a certain way she can drag you, this is not all the time just odd occasions. Sometimes on a hack she can become strong if she spots a juicy clump of grass. We have noticed that the more she's in work the less this happens. She is great in traffic but is very wary of farm machinery, we have been working on this, she does nothing nasty, just turns away and goes forward a few steps. She can be mouthy but think this is more of an 'age' thing. She is wary of being clipped but our clipper man is patient and she is getting better but we do need to twitch her to do her legs. Reason For Sale Mum has just been diagnosed with a bone problem which her specialist has told her that any fall or bad jolt could result in broken bones. She is now not riding Mary as she is worrying about her pulling and damaging her. We are looking for a 10* home for her as she is very loved and has stole our hearts, this has been a very tough decision but we are wanting to do what is best for her, and she needs to be out having fun. We would like her to go to a teenager or adult that will be able to further her potential as we are sure she will do fantastic as a show pony. Me and mum are both 5'6" and we have had a 5'11" rider on her and they didn't look out of place as she is very wide. Since being with us she has competed at dressage and a little showing with excellent results.
