It was one in a series of their long running, 600 group of instant film cameras. It has a neat, fold-down design with a large, flip up front which protects the lens when closed. It originally used instant, 600 series film which is still available today by The Impossible Project. It produces an almost square format image. It is made of plastic and most of the body has a black, satin finish with a boldly coloured blue stripe running along the front-right. It measures approximately 12.5cm x 14.5cm x 9.5cm when folded down. The Supercolor 635 has a 116mm single-element plastic lens, fixed focus, programmed automatic exposure system and a built-in electronic flash. One nice feature on the Supercolor 635 is the sliding close-up lens, allowing the user to get photos as close to their subject as 2 feet, unlike many other 600 cameras with a minimal focal length of 4 feet.
