Vintage Charm: Antique Victorian Electro-plated Coffee Pot by Thomas Otley & Sons of Sheffield.

Stamped on the bottom with the Otley ‘Mechanical Man’ trademark figure and with the numbers and 8. Date of manufacturer unknown, but there is plenty of info on the internet to help discover this. Believe dates to the latter half of the 19th century, the period famous for the aesthetic movement of design. Thomas Otley was a renowned Sheffield makers of electro-plate on Britannia metal and electro-plate on nickel silver from the s onwards. Coffee pot has no dents and stands 26 cm high. Tarnished, but has vintage charm. But, equally, would look splendid if cleaned. A collectible coffee pot, useful for display or even as an unusual vase. From a pet and smoke-free home.
