This Christmas, United Theatre invite you to join them as they retell one of the most magical stories of all time. Wishes, magic & silliness abound as we follow the story of ‘Pinocchio’, the wooden puppet built by Gepetto, to give himself and his wife Sylvy the family they have always wanted. With the help of Fairy Luceila, the wood is imbued with life and the puppet lives before their very eyes. But where there is magic, there are those who seek to misuse it. Pinocchio and his best friend Jimminey Cricket are followed by two ne’er do wells, Grabbit & Grobbit, who seek to destroy this happily ever after. Throw into the mix a dotty Dame and her two children to make ends meet, the enchanting Rosie Ragdoll and a magnificent ensemble cast and you have the perfect recipe to make all your Christmas wishes come true!

After the success of Peter Pan last year, which broke all the society’s records for audience numbers, we are returning to more traditional ground. Our next pantomime in early will be the story of Aladdin. So we have the Widow Twankey, whose name incidentally derives from a popular brand of tea 150 years ago which came from a province in China called Twan Kay. But why does she have a laundrette in Peking? Why does her son Aladdin have an Arabian name? And why doesn’t anybody think of using their first wish to ask the Genie for lots more wishes? But that’s panto for you. The comic policemen, Abanazar and his henchman Igor, the beautiful Princess Jasmine and her hand-maiden Layla, the troublesome washing machine, “new lamps for old”: they’re all there The script is written, the music is chosen, and the casting has been done. We have 14 principals, 14 chorus members, 24 dancers and lots of people doing vital jobs off-stage. That’s 70 people who have to work as a team to make the panto come to life. And they will, because they always do!

DE Caversmill Theatre Company are celebrating their 25th Anniversary year with the most popular pantomime of them all, Cinderella. The story goes like: With a wicked Step-Mother (Melanie Fox-Crowther) and two jealous Ugly Step Sisters (Ian Hill and Rob Mills) who keep her enslaved and dressed in rags, Cinderella (played by Kirsty Heath) stands no chance of attending the Royal Ball. However when her Fairy Godmother (Sarah Jablonski) appears she magically transforms her reality into a dream come true as she enchants the handsome Prince Charming (Rebecca Mills nee Capper) at the Royal Ball. Add into the mix Dandini (Siobahn Hammonds), Buttons (Scotty Bagnall) and the two bumbling builders men (Lizzie Capper-Mills and James Murphy) it will b so much fun to see how the story ends for our Cinderella. With rousing songs performed by a 55 strong cast this will truly be one not to be missed. Cinderella will be performed at the Stoke Repertory Theatre, Leek Road, Stoke on 29th, 30th December and 5th, 6th and 7th January . Princess Ella is trapped in a curse she knows nothing about, everyone has sworn to protect her and not let her know the bad that was laid upon her as a child. With such protection surely nothing can go wrong, right? Wrong! One particular bad Fairy is on a journey to remove happy ever afters for good! This lovely hand made fan is for sale from a pet and smoke free home. I purchased this fan for an event many years ago (in the 's) and only used it on this one occasion. Since then it has been stored in a clean dry environment and hence is in very good condition for its age. Please see the photographs provided to make your own assessment regarding the condition of this item. The size of the fan is: approximately 34 cm from the end of its handle to the tip of the feathers opposite the handle, and approximately 34 cm across the widest part of the fan. I would prefer the Buyer to collect, and pay cash on collection please.
