Small octavo. 15.5 x 11.4 cm. Restored spine, otherwise a good copy.The portrait of Piet Paaltjens.The frontspiece in Snikken en grimlachjes is a portrait of Piet Paaltjens. Marita Mathijsen writes the following about this portrait: 'Van de eerste druk zijn exemplaren gesignaleerd met onderling afwijkende portretten.' There are copies where the one portrayed looks to the right, with a signature on the left next to it and with the name of the lithographer on the bottom right, with the addition ‘s-Hage’. There is also a copy with the portrayed looking at the right, the signature on the left and the name of the lithographer at the bottom left. Truly stunning Kieffer Piet dressage saddle, black size 1 which is ".  Currently at a wide - xwide fitting but these saddles can be adjusted by a Kieffer saddler. Hardly used as no longer ride the cob this was bought for.  So in immaculate condition.  Truly lovely saddle, the seat and flaps are made out of one continuous piece of leather, so reduces bulk and any discomfort for horse and rider.  Mono flap style with a real narrow twist, great for petite riders.  Lovely deep seat with fixed blocks on outside which are great but in no way restrictive.  Only selling as not used.  RRP over £ Happy for local trials, Methlick Aberdeenshire I cannot offer any refunds if the saddle does not fit your horse.

In the inside a very small repair was done next to the staple. At the edge of the strip there is some local damage. Book block is in good condition, locally there is a small tear along the side, but the strip is certainly worth collecting because of the clean condition. Read more
