Wooden glass frame is 30"high and " inches wide.The script reads on crumpled paper style: NAN TUCK"Nan Tuck" was a 17th Century young girl, whom townsfolk believed to be a witch reputed to dabble in alchemy. Eventually superstitious locals turned on the girl and in desperation she ran to the Vicar for help. Scared also by the fearsome mob, the Vicar refused her sanctuary and after a frightening chase, she finally escaped. Anxious to catch her the following day, the mob resumed their search only to find the girl's' body hanging from an oak tree. Repentant, the group removed the body and buried her, in an effort to restore their conscience and forget the incident. However, Nan Tuck would not lay to rest and a dark grey figure has been sighted many times along Nan Tuck's lane possibly still fleeing the mob.Age no idea, unique certainly. £, Lancing,.
