Foxglove seed - various colours and mxies
Foxglove flowers are clusters of tubular shaped blooms in colors of white, lavender, yellow, pink, red, and purple. Tall and stately foxglove plants (Digitalis purpurea) have long been included in garden areas where vertical interest and lovely flowers are desired. Foxglove flowers grow on stems which can reach several feet high. Growing foxgloves thrive in full sun to partial shade to full shade, depending on the summer heat. Most foxgloves are biennial but sometimes last more than a few years and self seed around the garden. Foxglove Summer King Digitalis mertonensis Perennial foxglove The deep rose pink Summer King foxglove is a vigorous and compact perennial plant growing to approx 90 to 120cm (36 to 48in) in height. From late spring to early summer it sends up tall spires of tubular bell-shaped flowers which are a beautiful mix of 2 shades, warm pink speckled flowers that are larger than the traditional foxglove. This traditional cottage garden plant is excellent for a shady or woodland garden, in beds and borders and is suitable for growing in containers. Digitalis mertonensis grows well and looks best in similar situations to the traditional foxglove, in a woodland clearing or amongst trees and shrubs which give it light dappled shade. It is an eye catching border plant and great for floral arrangements. Digitalis mertonensis has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit ... growing instructions will be included with these seeds
