Patrick Eggle Berlin Dlx in Port Talbot

I had this fabulous guitar made for me by Patrick Eggle in . It had different pickups the first time I picked it up from the factory. I did not get on with the first ones, so they sent me another set to try, but I was not keen. I was in touch with Big Jim Sullivan at the time and he was using an active set so I then bought some EMG 89s which are great. At the time I did not realise that you need to have two push pull pots to get both pickups to coil tap,so I had the neck pick up wired as humbucker only, and the coil tap on the bridge. This is a great set up. There was a strange tremelo system which was supposed to lock in position when you did not use it, this was not that successful so I had a push in adaptor sent from Trevor Wilkinson, much better. I still have the original trem which can be screwed back if you want to. I no longer use the guitar these days so that's why I am selling. It comes with a great case and is in superb condition. It has a few minor marks on the back but they are nothing to be concerned about normal wear and tear nothing drastic. This guitar cost me £ when I bought it. I would prefer collection but can arrange postage if necessary. I would have to check out the cost for this.

Patrick Eggle Berlin Standard Seymour Duncan Pickups Made Inc Case

Patrick Eggle Berlin Standard in Satin finish.The guitar was made in while Patrick Eggle was still in the company he left in so most collectors feel the guitars made when the company started in are more collectable.The guitar is in great condition. The frets are original and in good condition with very little wear. The body and neck are Honduran mahogany and the body has a maple cap. The tuners are USA sperzel non locking and the bridge and tail piece are Gotoh made in Japan. Both pickups are Seymour Duncan 59 at the neck and the bridge is a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom and appear to have been made by Marciela “MJ” Juarez of the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop. The Toggle switch has been replaced along with both pickups surrounds. The case is the original Patrick Eggle made in canada case which is in good condition for it's age. Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro 24 fret HT Colour Red Hot, Elite Finish, Black Back & Neck, Gold hardware, Maple Leaf Inlays. Bought from New on an Eggle roadshow in Norwich, never really got played. I can't find any scratches dings or marks, maybe a bit of very light scuff in laquer on back. (The mark in the photos are dust or light reflections as there are no scratches on guitar). Gold hardware around pick ups is tarnishing as can be seen on pic up surround but this is about 20 years old. Serial number is hand painted on back . Comes with original fitted Eggle case. Would benefit from Service, been in case for about 10 years Buyer to pick it up near Norwich so can be inspected at time of purchase, looking for £700.
