Paragon "Holyrood" Milk Jug

For sale is a lovely-shaped fine bone china Milk Jug from the "Holyrood" pattern made by Paragon. It has a very attractive burgundy- coloured border surrounding the neck, enclosing a ring of very small dots, small circles with a dot in the centre and three radial rings, inside that there is ringed pattern, all gilded, additionally there is gilding around the foot and on the handle. There is also a fine pattern of very shallow grooves which run vertically around its circumference. The milk jug is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, there is some slight wear to the gilding around the rim which I am sure is due more likely to handling, since it would appear to have had little or no use at all. I have for sale a large China Tea & Coffee set made by Paragon China, England in a pattern called Cherwell apparently made in the s. The bone china bears the Royal Warrant. The design has a band of fluting behind the pattern with blue, pale blue and lavender flowers and pale green leaves with gold trim. A lovely set! The set consists of:- 13 side plates 6 ¼” 18 saucers 1 Cream Jug 1 Milk Jug 2 sugar bowls ( coffee cups 2 ½ X 3 ¼” (1 cup has some cracking in the glaze) 4 tea cups 3 X 2 ¾” 1 coffee pot (staining in the spout) This is the last of the sets that I bought for my daughters wedding tea party.
