They have chunky metallic bases that give them stability, and are easilty fitted among the clutter of my desk. As i have said, the subwoofer is very chunky, but sill stylish and iPod-like, being mostly white with the odd bit of shiny metal highlighting the speaker. I own an iPod, and these speakers compliment it perfectly. One ingenious addition to the speakers is the remote. It consists of a very user-friendly volume control, the input (mini-jack) for the speakers, the power button and a headphone socket. Is saves a lot of cable space and makes operation much easier.
