I have a lovely pair of Lavender Araucana Hens that I want to give away to a good home. I'm a smallholder who usually only keeps hens for a couple of seasons before retiring them to the pot! These two hens are such characters, ranging every part of the holding, sharing the other animals food (risking life & limb stealing from the pigs even!) and are generally very amusing in their antics. Only problem is, I can't bring myself to eat them but I don't want to go down the route of starting a hen retirement village. They still lay, so I'm hoping someone will want a couple of additions to their flock just for the joy of having them! Read More
