These guys are firm buddies and have great characters. I am not keen to part with them at all but due to a recent job change I don't have the time to interact with them. Chinchillas are ideal for adults/older children as they don't sit on your lap like a cat or rabbit would. Mine are used to dogs but should never be left alone loose with any other animal. The boys live in a large two storey cage but I also have a smaller cage which they stay in if family are looking after them whilst I'm away. This was only purchased last month. I'm including both cages in the price. One chin is 7 and the other approximately 5. They've been together for 3 years and love each other's company. Both are neutered. These little guys are great friends and fantastic pets. They come with a large cage, giving them a good amount of space and even if you replace or update it they are used to a cage this size as their usual habitat. They also come with a proper travel carrier for being transported along with some food and toys, two sand baths and sand and two water bottles. Their cage is also kitted out with ledges, shelves and toys for them to play and jump around on. I've owned chinchillas for 7 years. I'm not a breeder, one i bought from pets at home when he was little and the other was from a rescue centre 4 years ago. They are regularly checked by my vet (annual check ups) and had their most recent one a week ago and are in perfect health. They are fantastic pets with great personalities. If you've not owned Chins before I'm more than happy to spend time explaining what's involved and what it takes to look after them. If you are interested and want to visit them multiple times to consider taking them on then that's fine. I adore these guys and the most important thing for me is they go to a good home. Unfortunately due to a job change I've not got enough time for them as I'm out the house most of the week for long hours. They don't need heaps of interaction but they do need s little each day. We have a pair of female chinchillas that we unfortunately can no longer keep as our son is allergic to their fur. They are a beautiful pair of girls but must go together as they have been together since birth and are totally bonded.
