LARGE TENT - OUTWELL HARTFORD L Really great tent – loads of room for family holidays, pretty quick & easy to put up (did it myself once!). At £150 this could provide cheap, memorable, family holidays for years to come. With 2 large sleeping pods, each of which can hold 3 people in comfort, no-one should feel cramped. The large central area is high enough to stand in and provides a great eating area if outdoor conditions are less than ideal. There is also an entrance hall – great for leaving mucky/wet gear and storing cooking stuff. The tent has doors to the front and rear, so easy to sweep out. This tent has been used 3, maybe 4 times and never given any problems. Only selling because we’ve scaled down a bit and this has loads of life left in it. For sale an Outwell Hartford XL 8 person tent. Excellent used condition The Outwell Hartford XL tent is a superb home from home tent. This cavernous 8 man tent is ideal for families who are looking for space, comfort and durability. Combine this the interior layout makes the Outwell Hartford XL tent perfect for family vacations. The Outwell Hartford XL consists one large dome area with three standing height bedrooms off it. This height is achieved through Outwell’s Extended Frame (OEF) system which also offers strength and lightness. It has the ability to stand up in your own bedroom area and this makes organising things / tidying up a lot easier on the old knees. The large dome area offers a huge space to eat, cook, wash up etc but if you feel this is not big enough then you may want to consider buying the Outwell Hartford XL front extension aswell. (I have a brand new one never used for extra cost). This extension turns the large Outwell into a huge tent, with numerous uses and really the more you can cover your options,so to speak, in respect of inside space the better. The fabric of the tent is made from fire retardant material and the outer layer has a hydrostatic head of mm. Hydrostatic head is a guide to how waterproof the tent is. In the UK anything above mm is considered waterproof. However, the higher the number is the more it will withstand driving rain, an unfortunate common occurrence in the UK. There is obviously no point in stopping the water from getting in if the fabric stops the moisture from leaving the tent so Outwell have made the inner tent breathable which along with good ventilation between the outer and inner ensures that condensation build up is kept to a minimum The Outwell Hartford XL tent is pitched flysheet first which has the benefit that the inner is kept dry should you be unlucky to pitch your tent in the rain. The groundsheet is sewn in and is made from double-coated polyethylene (optional extra) which is strong and durable but can be additionally protected by using the Harftford footprint. The footprint protects the ground sheet from scuffs from small stones and rough ground whilst also keeping it clean. The tent itself weighs 20.9kg add to that the poles (11kg) and the overall weight comes to 31.9kg. I have extra poles that are included. The Outwell Hartford XL tent is ideal for family camping. This is a HUGE family tent with 4 sleeping pods (all will fit a queen size inflatable bed) set around a very large living area. There is a small repair to the fitted groundsheet. Two of the bedroom pods will need stitching down one of the seems - this has not bothered us as we do not use them to sleep in. There are no rips or tears in the outer tent fabric and it is watertight - we have just returned from a week in Norfolk and had some heavy rain and high winds and all stayed dry! Selling as it is a bit too big for us now!

For sale is our Hartford large tent - only used a few times and in excellent condition. A fantastic large tent which is great for the family. Sale also includes electrical hook up cable, footprint mat for under the tent and electric cool box. Pictures are not of the actual tent as we have not had it up this year! Description from a camping website: The Outwell Hartford's are one of the few remaining large-scale dome tents remaining on the market and so continue to retain their popularity. These tent have been updated by Outwell for the season with the introduction of the Panoramic Front - a series of top-to-bottom windows that will give you fantastic views out and provide the tent with maximum daylight. All of the Panoramic Front windows have toggle up curtains and so you can control the amount of light and/or privacy that you require. The Outwell Hartford L sleeps up to 6 people in a 3+3 formation in 2 separate bedroom pods, both of which now enjoy full head height. The bedrooms can be removed if not being used. Between the two bedrooms is also a second doorway that gives you more entance/exit options especially as this doorway also features side flaps which will protect it from the worst of the elements. The bedrooms lead out into the main, open living space which features a sewn-in groundsheet and provides plenty of space for tables, chairs and storage units. You move seamlessly through to the Panoramic Front area (also with sewn-in groundsheet) which features a large roll-up/prop-out front panel doorway.
