This is an older type engine, it has been stood at the back of a garage for sometime and the owner has asked me to advertise it I have seen the engine working, pumping water, it going in and out of gear. VOLVO PENTA 3.9hp OUTBOARD MOTOR longshaft This outboard has not been run for more than a year. It was kept as my "spare" outboard but I never had any call to use it. When last used it ran perfectly and I see no reason why it should not do so again. It will require some fresh fuel and a check over or service and will be good to go. It turns over fine but I,ve not tried to start it, might even start with fuel and a few pulls to prime it. Compression appears fine. I believe this outboard has 12v out which is useful for an outboard of this size. This is "aircooled" so no worn impellors and runs on 50:1 two stroke mix. Plugs were Bosch W 240 T1, NGK B7 HS or Champion L81. The gap should be mm). The points gap is mm) and the ignition advance setting is mm) Gearbox oil EPcc capacity should you wish to change the oil.
