Suzuki DT55 outboard engine with power tilt and trim This came with a project boat I purchased 6 months ago which I’m in the slow process of converting from a fast fishing boat to a day/weekend river boat. I started the engine for the first time last week and it fired up on the second crank but it’s not pumping water just a small trickle and won’t shift gears prop turns freely though I can turn my hand to lots of things but engines forget it and having been offered a a more river suitable 20hp engine have decided to let it go which is a shame as the power lift would be a godsend when I eventually launch off the trailer The engine appears fairly good condition apart from an aluminium plate on the port side that has two corrosion holes held in place by about 18 bolts and some peeling paint on the top of the engine cover it will also include the control unit if that’s what it’s called ie throttle ignition etc I’ve tried to describe the best I can and will upload more pictures a soon as I can as I’m away until the weekend Read more

Yamaha 70hp Power Trim and Tilt outboard motor

Yamaha 70hp Power Trim and Tilt Yamaha three cylinder two stroke outboard motor probably early 's age. The motor looks good cosmetically but is seized. A few of the cylinder head studs have sheared and would need easyout'd or drilled and tapped. I bought it as spares as I have an identical one and spares are getting harder for these motors but I find I don't really have storage space and it is quite heavy to move around single handed. Offered as spares or what would in my view be a very significant repair probably involving a serviceable secondhand power head which I believe could be obtained for around £600? If the motor was in good serviceable condition (which again it is not) it would probably be worth around £. (look on e-bay currently for $ to $). Near offers will be considered but nothing silly please as individual parts are worth a lot but I am not going to break it up. Could possibly deliver in Edinburgh area sorry orange mover barrow is not included.
