Bought this to install in the lid of my Weber kettle grill near meat level, so I didn't need or want the larger Tel-Tru models. To be honest, I was influenced by Aaron Franklin's BBQ videos wherein he reveals his track record with Tel-Tru thermometers and I'm entirely satisfied. I checked it in my oven and the calibration is (apparently) spot on. The unit is sturdily made of good old stainless steel, the dial is sealed to withstand the elements and my readings are consistent. Couldn't be happier.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent little thermometer for Jumbo Joe
