Two to three sheets of music notation can be displayed at one time -This is a very worthwhile music stand,- the stand can also be folded down - which is excellent when transporting from one venue to another. This is not a particularly portable stand - the large tray-like music holder is what it is, and the rest of it is pretty chunky tubing too. That said, if you want to put it up & leave it, this is a great stand. It's solid, strong and stable. The top bit will hold pretty much any size book at any angle. The column is telescopic, and is ideal for playing from the sitting position, but will extend to a reasonable height for standing up (unless you're over 6 feet tall). All this at a very reasonable price.

The stand was bought for my 8 year old niece who is learning piano. I play drums and I use one as well. The stand is used at home, so I would not know if it would be strong enough to withstand regular gigs. That said, I am happy with the purchase.
