Keyboard is soft touch,backlit which makes the keys more visible and it is very comfortable to use. Touchpad is equally sensitive to touch and enhances the user experience. In comparison I use a employer supplied laptop of a popular make that has a similar touchpad feature which is nowhere near as sensitive and requires more pressure to activate. Im no expert, but the graphics appear clear and concise when using different applications, including live TV. Performance is smooth with virtual instant access to applications and websites.

I decided to buy the 2015 Macbook Pro Retina in 2017, because it still has plenty of power for what I need it to do (creating documents, some photo editing, streaming in 1080p, web browsing) plus it has more connectivity options than most modern laptops. Prices on Ebay are very reasonable now as well. Pros: - excellent build quality - connectivity: 1x HDMI output, card reader, 2x Thunderbolt, 2x USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 - great colorful screen - still plenty of processing power and fast 250 GB HD. Cons: - bit heavy compared to newer laptops - no mega resolution screen (if you want that) - No USB Type-C output (if you would really need that.

But wait… it doesn't have a Touchbar does it so it can't be the best, can it? My opinion is yes, it can. For traditional MBP users like me it's got 2 x Thunderbolt, 2 x USB3, HDMI, SDXC and a power socket. I'll take that any day over a couple of USB C sockets (that you also have to use share with the power supply) and a faddy Touchbar. It runs cool, the battery will actually give you 10 hours use and you don't have to buy at least 4 USB C dongles.
