Safe happy hacking family horse gelding in West Sussex

£5,000

Ted
15.2 14yo bay cob x tb gelding

Unfortunately ted had a rough winter in a horrid loan home that left him out Without a rain sheet & in deep boggy mud 24/7! Once returned his owners have sorted his rain scald, mudfever and got him looking himself again. Now he needs his new, forever home due to owners new family commitments.

Having been a happy hacker & hunter his whole life, he does the basic walk/trot/canter in the arena safely & sensibly but isn't about to pin his head down & give someone a fantastic dressage win...he will however look after someone every step of the way through the heaviest of traffic & widest of open spaces. He leads a group or follows behind, never getting silly or hot headed in new situations or environments giving a gentlemanly ride with every stride. He is as honest as the day is long, he isn't a top show jumper but will give anything a go & is incredibly forgiving, be-it a wobbly novice or a top pro, if you miss a stride or get nervous, he will always help you out & get you over that fence the best he can! He has hunted many seasons with hounds over the beautiful Somerset countryside, he could be hunted by a granny but will happily step up to do some hedges with the big dogs.
Hacks alone perfectly too.

Incredibly gentle natured, loves a fuss, good to do in all ways although can take 5/10 mins to load on the odd occasion he feels stubborn, always goes in with a firm growl/tap on the bottom. Travels perfectly. Up to date with worming & vaccines. He has a few age related marks here & there, none of which effect him & he has no history of any lameness throughout his life, his full history is known. 5* homes only considered.

Tack & delivery available. No loans.
