All works well and quite easy, reads enough file formats, have random playback, decent battery life, very very light, what else could you want from mp3 player?

I am on my 3rd Clip+, and had used the previous 2 every day for last 10 years. It still amazes me how many reviews complain about volume level, which, of course, is only limited when set to EU zone. My mp3 players have been thoroughly soak tested, having been used for 5 to 8 hours each day and recharged at night. After about 4 years, the battery life is reduced to about half of spec (15 hours), but they are mainly used in FM radio mode, which may age the battery slightly faster. My mp3 players get lots of abuse and are very robust. The clips can break off, but it took me 3 years of constant use to do it. Rockbox is great software if you don't like the standard OS. Never had a problem with file transfers or the jack socket, but a cheap charger did take out my last Clip+, when it blew up - can't really blame the mp3 player! Otherwise, they just go on and on - best cheap MP3 player on the market - still!! They can be taken apart - I have had to change the battery once, but getting hold of replacement batteries is tricky. All in all, fantastic value for money. It's just a shame that they are no longer manufactured.Read full review

Simple, but does everything it's supposed to do. Its open platform enables it to be used as a portable storage.

It works fine, it was fairly cheap and it's conviniantly small. Sansa has got a great forum if u get a problem with your clip (for example what to do if u downloaded a driver that lowers the max volume because of EU-law). Radio DON'T work though- very, very bad reception. I would certainly recomend it.
