I got this second hand in a trade a few months ago as I wanted to try out a jazz bass, but as great as it is I'd rather just have a Precision bass again. The damage to the face of the instrument happened under the previous owner and has no effect whatsoever on the sound or playability of the bass, but I've made sure the pictures show it clearly so that any prospective buyer knows what they're getting. These are £340 brand new so I'm looking to either sell this for £200 o.n.o. Or, I'd be open to trade for a Squier P-bass (or I could trade this + cash for a fender). Have upgraded my Fender Precision to Seymour Duncan 'Quarter-Pound' pickups. These are the originals removed and no longer required. They're like new really and I have stored them in the Seymour Duncan box complete with spare mounting screws. Might be good for a Fender Squire upgrade perhaps? Or other Precision type bass. They appear original, so the most likely answer is that this guitar had been stored in the Fender facility for a year or two, before electrical assembly.
