Victorian Cast Iron Fire Surround / Marble Hearth

Restored Victorian (genuine antique) cast iron fire surround in very good condition (one small piece chipped off the bottom of the arch). Has been sand blasted and used in my previous house and just needs wire brushing and treating with cast iron polish to blacken and to restore to its original charm. A very nice feature if used around a traditional open fire, especially in a house of the same character and ideal to add real character back to a terraced house or similar. Also a very nice white Carrara marble hearth in good condition. White with a pink, beige and grey fleck. Prefer to sell them as a pair which look great in contrast between the black cast iron and white marble. Make me an offer.

ORIGINAL Art Deco Marble / Travertine Fireplace Fire Surround Hearth

This is a lovely marble fireplace which has been removed ready for collection. The main photo shows the fireplace in its original position. It comprises six main pieces along with the stainless steel opening. There is a stainless steel pad that sits level with the hearth directly in front of the opening. This has seen much better days so you may want to replace it or use tiles instead. There is also a small freestanding oblong finial that sits atop the fireplace. The condition of the fireplace is generally good. There is a repair to the top of the left side upright where a piece has been re-attached (check the photos). This could possibly be worked on to make it less visible. There are also some minor chips / scratches etc as would be expected from a fireplace of this vintage - mainly to the front centre edge of the hearth. I understand there are repair kits readily available that fill marble chips like this quite successfully. There are no other cracks / breaks that I can see. The stainless insert is generally in good condition. The same fireplace is available from a dealer for £! Theirs comes with a black tiled pad which sits in front of the opening - this is in place of the stainless pad. These tiled pads can be made up fairly cheaply or something similar could be installed when fitting the fireplace. Their fireplace appears to be missing the small oblong finial. They have it listed as a s fireplace - however this fireplace was removed from a house built in and the owners believed it to be original to the house. You can view the dealer's fireplace HERE I'm offering this one at less than a quarter of their price:-) The dimensions of the fireplace when fitted are approximately: Body Width: 163cm Hearth Width: 165cm Height: 100cm Hearth Projection: 55cm Opening Width: 46cm (18 inches) Opening Height: 56cm (22 inches) All in this is a beautiful and understated fireplace with lovely patterns & foliation to the emprador marble. It would look perfect in an Art Deco or even a modern setting! Due to the size & weight of the fireplace it is being offered for collection only. Original Small Cast Iron Fire Surround, Likely Victorian. Great Condition. £120 ONO

Bedroom style Victorian fireplace for sale. We really wanted to reinstate this fireplace into our flat but it was sadly not possible as the chimney had been bricked up! So we are looking to sell it on to a new home. It is in perfect condition with no cracks or anything. Would be very easy to install over an existing chimney simply screw it to the wall. IT would add a lot of charm and character to any room. It is a lovely small type of fire place- 36" across the top at the widest point and 46" tall. The grate etc are original to the fire surround.
