A beautiful, rare brass bed (iron base frame); an original king-size (i.e. It hadn't been extended or added to to make it bigger). It's gorgeous. I haven't polished it as I like old things to look their age, but if you wanted to spruce it up a bit it would look fantastic. There's a few (6 I think) of the small round fixings missing and there's a bit of a dent on the bottom RHS finial. But none of this detracts - it is a wonderful bed and extremely rare.
