ORIGINAL VICTORIAN CAST IRON/TILED INSET FIREPLACE.

I have a beautiful cast iron fireplace for sale, on behalf of my friends who have emigrated, which is in EXCELLENT overall condition. Was removed from their Victorian house in Blackwater, Surrey in and is believed to be the original Victorian fireplace for the house. The hood metalwork has a bat & moth embossing in 2 separate panels with a mix of beautiful foliage and pattern motifs in the surrounding metalwork. The gold & green tiles have a Victorian leaf/fruit & foliage detail down the cheeks. There is a hairline crack on 1 tile but it remains intact and does not detract from its condition. On basis of it being an original Victorian fireplace I am looking for offers in excess of £850. I may be able to deliver, for a possible charge, depending on location and urgency of need. 112 Reclaimed and Restored Original Circa Cast Iron Tiled Insert with Surround Description This Original Circa cast Iron insert has been stripped back by hand and re-polished to a stunning graphite finish. It has Victorian Urn Tiles (no cracks or chips). Can be used with gas or solid fuel would just need a suitable back box or as a decorative feature in any room. The surround is a Solid Wood Dark colour surround. All our surrounds are reclaimed and as such may have some minor knocks and blemish appropriate to its age. All Surrounds are sympathetically restored and waxed prior to delivery. All surrounds can be sprayed White, Black or any available colour for an additional charge. Insert can be sold separately if surround is not required or is not to your taste. The Hearth in the photos is not included.
