Victorian Built-in Pine Dresser
This advert is for: One Edwardian, pine, built-in dresser with two cupboard doors and two drawers. The cupboard has no side to it on the right as you look at it because it was built into the brick work of the house when the house was made. Buyers are welcome to come and take a look. It has been removed from the wall and the top and bottom halves are separated. It is stored indoors presently and we would like it away to a good home soon so please feel free to make an offer - we can only say no. I live in a row of build houses and this dresser is a feature common to them. The dresser is in the area of the house that would have originally been the kitchen and used to store pots and pans etc. The dresser is opposite an inglenook fireplace (the fireplace surround and mantle piece is also available and will be advertised separately). The dresser is in good, aged condition. There are scuffs, scratches and small indents as you would expect on old furniture purposed as this one was. There are areas where wood filler has been used to cover nail heads. The shelves have cup/utensil hooks along the front edge of each. The drawers are removable. The exterior is very solidly constructed as can be seen from the width of timber used. The interior of the cupboard area has been made with lower quality timber as was the custom at the time for kitchen furniture. DIMENSIONS: H 249cm W cm D 45cm Looking on antique furniture sites, it is clear that this kind of item is expensive to buy. That said, of the types of timber seen in antique furniture, pine is cheaper by far than mahogany, oak or walnut for example and so be reassured I don't want the Earth for it. Somewhere near £100 would be a steal for you but acceptable to me. All the best. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
