Here is my post office wooden letter sorting frame. It measures 108cm wide x 103cm high and17.5cm deep. It could be put to a variety of uses, storage / display etc. It has unfortunately not escaped some woodworm damage at the left hand end(see picture) but this could be treated. Good repair/refurb project, needs a bit of tlc but it should be pretty straight forward. It worked when I last had a landline a few years ago, since then the unscrew mouthpiece worked it's way off and the (very basic!) wiring inside fell out, it's all still there so should be pretty easy to fix back. It may need a new bell, I can't test it as I have no landline! Not having a landline is why I'm selling it, if I had one I'd use it, it's a very cool object! We had 5 of these all salvaged from one post office and all lovingly restored by us. This is the last piece so don't miss out! They don't come up for sale often. It was produced in the mid 60s from steel. We have completely cleaned the piece and treated it with a mat graphite paste. It retains much of its beautiful original patina with the wear and tear expected on a piece of hardworking industrial furniture.
