This is a photograph of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro during a meeting with the Chinese leaders shortly after the end of the Cuban Revolution. The photograph has been signed on the reverse by Che Guevara with a fountain pen of which the ink has made the text a little smudged. The photographer is Perfecto Romero ('fotógrafo de la Revolución' = photographer of the Revolution) who was Che's personal photographer during and after the Revolution up to his campaign in Bolivia. The photograph was obtained in Cuba from the photographer's son. The dedication is in Spanish but says "To a great friend and fighter of strength. Until victory, always. Che". Note the "Hasta la victoria, siempre" which was the rallying cry of the Revolution which is written here in Che Guevara's hand. The photograph measures 7.5 inches wide by 5 inches high.
