It is the capital of the province of East Azerbaijan.The current carpet production is very extensive. The quality ranges from excellent arts and crafts to simple and cheap ones Bazaar products. A good Tabriz carpet has a rather short pile. The patterns usually consist of medallion medallion surrounded by garden motifs and arabesques. Another popular motif are the four seasons, the life of the farmer in spring, summer, autumn and winter signs.Tabriz carpets often have the additional name Raj.
