Barks Library Special - Onkel Dagobert. Tl.30: Carl Barks, geboren am 27. März in Merrill/Oregon, hatte seinen ersten Kontakt zur Welt von Walt Disney im Jahre . Er begann seine Tätigkeit dort in den Disney-Trickfilm-Studios, als gerade die Arbeiten zu 'Schneewittchen' in vollem Gange waren. Nach einigen Wochen als Phasenzeichner wurde ihm angeboten, als Storyboarder zu arbeiten. In sieben Jahren entstanden dabei 36 Donald Duck-Filme. Zwischen April und September erschuf Carl Barks fast alle 10seitigen Duck-Geschichten für Disney-Comics. Er erfand dabei nicht nur die Figur des Scrooge McDuck (in der deutschen Übersetzung auch bekannt als Onkel Dagobert), sondern auch viele andere liebenswerte Charaktere, die heute aus der Entenhausener Welt nicht mehr wegzudenken sind, wie z. B. Gustav Gans, Daniel Düsentrieb, die Panzerknacker-Bande, das Fähnlein Fieselschweif oder Gundel Gaukeley. Für die amerikanischen Disney-Hefte kreierte Barks bis zu seiner Pensionierung nicht weniger als Comic-Seiten. Die amerikanische Barks Library war weltweit die erste Werkausgabe eines Comic-Autors. Zunächst als 30-bändige Buchausgabe erhältlich, wurden die Geschichten später neu koloriert und als Albenausgabe auf den Markt gebracht, die über 140 Bände umfasst. Die deutsche Barks Library vom Egmont Ehapa Verlag wird bis zum Sommer abgeschlossen sein. Sie enthält auch Geschichten, die von Carl Barks z. T. nur geschrieben oder vorgezeichnet, später von anderen Disney-Größen wie Don Rosa, Tony Strobl oder Daan Jippes vollendet wurden.

The book block is in very good condition, with no loose pages but the first no is what jaggedon the sides of the pages, the rest is fine. There is also a initials on the first pages but no further writing. In one pages missing a tiny piece ofat the bottom and a rare tiny tear is possible.
