4 year old pale/grey degu looking for a responsible experienced home. He is a very dominant degu so will be best suited with a submissive male or neutered and paired with a female. Lovely boy who doesn't mind being handled, and has never bitten anyone. He comes back into his cage when you shake his oats jar during free time. He is used to being out of his cage everyday for a few hours so would like a home that can continue to offer this as he has lots of energy and loves to explore. If this isn't viable, a larger enclosure would be great as this thickets cage was connected to a much larger cage so he will be losing a lot of space once it's disconnected. We took these boys on in the summer of last year when someone had dumped them in a rescue centre. Three of the boys are brothers and one is a single rescue we took in around the same time that we successfully introduced to the group. We are rehoming our 2 beautiful boys due to change in circumstances, we have had them for 3 years and have been a joy to look after. Our white and brown boy is missing part of his tail but that doesn't effect him at all. The Degu's will come with everything they need including a 4 tier 6 foot cage which they have called home for the 3 years, they are easy to maintain and cheap to keep. He also has a large ball so he can get plenty of exercise outside of his cage. Very friendly and comes out to see you when you call him, never bites and never has in the past. Usually these rodents should live in pairs or groups but he was on his own when adopted due to bullying others. He has encountered other degus and seemed okay (he once had a short term lodger) but I'm not sure how he would be long term living with another.
