It’s pretty old and has many little scratches and stains – particularly on the desk surface as you’d expect but basically a nice solid little piece of furniture. The marks never bothered us but it could easily be polished up or painted if you like a more pristine style! We’ve had this for decades and it’s been really useful, particularly in small bedrooms where we needed both a chest of drawers and a desk but didn’t have room for both.1 Key locks the drawers and desk flap, the side supports slide out automatically when the desk is lowered. Refurbished Shabby Chic Vintage Writing Bureau Desk Drawers

This is a newly refurbished vintage writing bureau with storage space. This bureau has been painted in the specialist furniture Annie Sloan chalk paint in a beautiful shade of grey. The inside of the bureau and inside the drawers I have painted in a lovely contrasting shade of lilac.I have then sympathetically slightly distressed in keeping with the style of shabby chic and then sealed to protect. The unit has three large drawers so plenty of storage space and all drawers have there original handles. The writing desk has two small drawers and shelving. This unit will also plug in to give the writing desk light and it also locks. Wonderful teak G Plan writing bureau with 3 drawers. Inside there are 2 moveable filing compartments. Over all fantastic condition as you can see with a couple of tiny age related marks but nothing that stands out or detracts from its appeal. The only real downside is the metal brackets that support the desk are damaged so would need replacing, although it is usable as it is.
