i am now selling my old brass bodied fire extinguisher, that was used on alot of military & civilian vehicles during ww2 and alot where used much later, some can be found on vintages vehicles today, but these will mainly be for show purposes. as this one i am selling.. on the plunger handle is marked WD this denotes War Department. There is some light pitting \ corrosion around the plunger handle. also on the plunger handle is clearly marked 'Pyrene' this being the main extinguisher fluid liquid inside It was washed out many years ago, may need re-cleaning out again !?, also - as can be clearly seen it was painted olive drab paint to represent war time usage. the red arrows are pointing to a dent on the side casing..
