Inspired by the BBC Proms A brilliant instrument for a discount price if bought first hand. Has minor scratches but that is evident from eight years of use. An ideal instrument for a student who is learning and wishes to upgrade to a larger instrument. The item also comes with a case, full set of strings, resin, three chin rests including the one that is attached, a shoulder rest and a microfibre cloth for cleaning.

Vintage old German violin labelled Friedrich Kochendorfer

Violin labelled Friedrich Kochendorfer c from Stuttgart. Full size violin. LOB 363 mm ("). Instrument in good condition and the soundpost in place. Nicely figured clean one-piece back with only light surface scratching. Clean close grained top with nice colour. Old repaired crack on outer side of lower bout from bottom edge to outside of r/h F hole. One very short fine crack (1"long) to right of tailpiece. No sound post or bass bar cracks. Original Tabil -Stabil chinrest. Good quality set of pegs fitted. New nylon cored strings fitted similar to Dominants Violinhas very attractive sound with very even balance. Good range with sweet upper register and a sonorous G string. An attractive original historic patina. Golden-orange-brown varnish. Ready to play, with a good open mellow sound Back cm) Total length 23.5" (approx. 59.7cm) Condition very good. New set of good quality pegs fitted. Original Tabil-Stabil tailpiece Ebony tailpiece with new tail-gut A new set of nylon core strings fitted.

Created by hand.Antique Czech Brooch,captured in all its colourful glory in the Autumn sunlight in the video provided.The Golden tone metal is likely Tombac,and beautifully preserved.Intricate filigree Gurtler work houses the Czech stones.The reverse is equally pretty.A simple rivet hinge holds the pin and the 'c' clasp/hook dates it to circa .The large centre stones are unfoiled to let the light flood through.The smaller stones are foiled,and are all claw set. Tombac was a copper and zinc-based alloy,very malleable and workable and was used in Bohemian jewellery making. A very good old CZECH cello made by LADISLAV PROKOP in Prague in , as the original label indicates. The cello has an exceptionally good and big sound.
