MASSIVE OAK Victorian Iron Bound Silver Chest Trunk VERY LARGE & HEAVY Antique

Antique Victorian Iron Bound Oak Silver Chest Trunk VERY VERY LARGE AND HEAVY Vintage This is a stunning very very large and very very heavy 19th century Victorian Solid Oak Silver Chest Trunk which makes a fabulous Storage Chest Coffee Table. Has a multitude of metal straps, two handles at each end (you certainly need them) and three locks, I do not have keys. I have sympathetically restored this VERY VERY LARGE trunk and is now clean, sturdy and ready to use. I have cleaned and highly polished with wax the exterior of the trunk. The inside has been fully cleaned and is now very clean and solid. As you can see from the large pictures the trunk has had a new floor fitted as the original one was a bit rotten. I cant emphasise enough how large and heavy this trunk is, it’s the largest trunk I have ever owned or seen. Please remember this trunk is old and shows knocks and marks and a bit of rot which you would expect from a trunk which has had a very long working life, this is all part of it’s rustic charm. A beautiful and functional piece of furniture with great character. Would suit both a period or contemporary home. Large Victorian Very Rare Fluted Metal Travel Chest Trunk Vintage Storage Chest Toy Box

Storage Chest Blanket Toy Box Very large and striking looking rare steel trunk with unusual corrugated construction. I have never seen this design before. This is a very rare all steel trunk from the mid Victorian period and is in fantastic condition considering it’s age. Has a few knocks and scrapes but this all ads to the great patina. I cant find the makers name but on the front the trunk has a Patent number on a brass plaque. I have been told that the trunk could have originated in America and on searching on the internet found a similar trunk for sale but a bit smaller and at a cost of $. This trunk has been scrubbed clean and given a wax polish to the protect patina gained over the years. The inside is as original and has not been touched because it has newspaper from stuck to the bottom and I thought this was interesting, this can be easily removed. Now ready to store your vast array of objet d'art. A beautiful and functional piece of furniture with great character.
