Bought for occasional use, this Pangkor oak futon sofa bed is no longer required. It was purchased new three years ago for £600 and is barely used. It is a true double bed size.The solid oak frame contains a metal pull out bed frame with wooden sprung slats and a useful solid wood under bed storage drawer. The futon mattress is medium feel and is Kingfisher cotton drill (a willow green colour). The sofa bed is heavy when in one piece but can be de-constructed into major parts for easier removal and transit and easy re-construction. This is an original Vienna style Classic solid American oak sofa bed from Futon that seats 3-4 people comfortably, and converts to a very comfortable standard double bed in three seconds. The Futon is Ultimate Futon type ideal for heavy every day use and comfortable sitting and sleeping. Comes with Aldburgh cocoa machine washable cover and Aldburgh cocoa large back cushions x3 (the covers are also machine washable). We got it May-June (Price £). Only minor wear but nothing significant. Our experience is that a quick machine wash of the covers makes the set look as good as new.
