It has always been washed and cared for using the Nuuwash laundry liquid which has kept the lining in good condition. Its clean and ready to use. Please note that the wool by its nature has trapped horse hairs in the pile. I have brushed, shaken it, washed it and even vacuumed it and it is impossible to remove all of the chestnut hairs. White hi wither half wool dressage saddlecloth size large has a few marks on it but very little and really in good condition I had the small velcro fastening that you sometimes get on the dressage saddlecloths removed and replaced with full length ones as I dont like the small ones that attach to the d rings. So the ones on it now go round the girth straps as you usually find on saddlecloths having a clear out and I dont use it anymore
