It has always been washed and cared for using the Nuuwash laundry liquid which has kept the lining in good condition. Its clean and ready to use. Please note that the wool by its nature has trapped horse hairs in the pile. I have brushed, shaken it, washed it and even vacuumed it and it is impossible to remove all of the chestnut hairs.
