This car seat can face both backwards and forwards and comes with a baby insert and an i-Size ISOfix base. The base can also be fitted to the car using the car's seat belt if you don't have ISOfix. From a smoke free home. We never used the baby insert. We kept our son rearward facing until he reached the weight limit and then turned him around for a little while before moving him to a Recaro seat that would take him through to the time when he no longer needed a seat. From the beginning, this seat was easy to fit and to move between cars. He always seemed comfortable and safe. The seat is in good condition and has never been in an accident. Manuals included. A mirror is also included - I used this to fit on the rear headrest so that I could see my son in my rearview mirror without turning around. We found that our son was able to reach down and press the strap release button (therefore loosening his straps) so we modified the seat to sew a material flap to the cover and add two poppers to the hard shell so the flap could be secured over the strap release button. A mirror is also included - I used this to fit on the rear headrest so that I could see my son in my rearview mirror without turning around.
